Stuart E. Robken, CPA/ABV, CVA
Mr. Robken has over twenty years of
experience in providing expert witness testimony in the above
practice areas. He has assisted attorneys and their
clients reach a resolution through a collaborative process in
countless other occasions, often as the joint or “neutral”
expert.
Mr. Robken has been actively involved with
professional organizations throughout his career and has sought
and attained leadership positions in many, including the
California Society of CPAs, (CalCpa) the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the California CPA
Education Foundation, and the Family Law and Business Valuation
Sections of the CalCpa Litigation Services Section. He is
an Associate Member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar
of California, and has earned the credential as a Certified
Valuation Analyst (CVA) from the National Association of
Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).
During his career, Mr. Robken has served
as an instructor for many forensic accounting and marital
dissolution topics, and is currently a member of the Accounting
Advisory Committee at American River College in Sacramento.
Mr. Robken was the author of “Tax and Accounting: The element of
Capital Improvements in Allocating Appreciation under Moore/Marsden,”
which appeared in Family Law News, the
official publication of the State Bar of the California Family
Law Section.
In addition to his commitment to
professional organizations, Mr. Robken is active in several
civic and non-profit organizations. He is currently
serving as an appointed public member of the Sacramento County
Treasury Oversight Committee. He served as president of
the Board of Directors for the Stanford Home for Children for
three years before assuming the responsibilities of Executive
Committee member and Board Chief Financial Officer for the
Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento.
Mr. Robken graduated from California State
University, Chico, with a degree in accounting in 1973.
Prior to establishing Robken & Company in 1994, he was a
shareholder at Schultze, Wallace & O’Neil in Sacramento.

Marylou R. Robken, CPA/ABV, CFE, MS –
Tax
Ms. Robken has over
twenty years experience in the construction industry in which
she served as the Controller for several major homebuilders in
the Sacramento area. This industry expertise, coupled with
her credential as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), has proven
essential in our forensic accounting and litigation support
practice.
Ms. Robken also gained valuable litigation support experience
as a Director of Litigation Consulting Services at Ueltzen &
Company in Sacramento.
We often are required to
perform in-depth analysis of a company’s financial accounts and
records in order to determine the correct income, either for a
business valuation or for the purpose of determining the proper
income available for child or spousal support. Her
experience in using a wide variety of accounting software is
instrumental in completing the analysis and in conveying her
conclusions in a comprehensive manner.
Ms. Robken is involved in many professional organizations and
has recently served as the president of the Sacramento Chapter
of CalCpa, and of the Sacramento Chapter of the American Society
of Women Accountants (ASWA).
She is a member of the Fraud and Economic Damages Committee
of the Litigation Services Sections of CalCpa. She was
recently elected by the Nominations Committee of CalCpa to serve
on the AICPA Council as a delegate from California.
Ms. Robken received her undergraduate degree from the
Washington University in St. Louis, MO in 1968, and her MS in
Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1989.
