Consumer Price Index - US Department of Labor which provides
cost of living increases.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics - The Bureau of Labor
Statistics site, where you can get all the cost of living data
direct from the source.
KnowX - This
site is billed as the largest source of information about public
records on the web. It includes information about lawsuits,
liens, judgments, and other information that can be useful for
investigative accounting in divorce.
Social Security - Another important asset not to overlook in
a divorce are Social Security benefits. Here you can request a
statement of your lifetime earnings and estimate of your
benefits. A non working spouse may be eligible for derivative
payments for a marriage over 10 years. Also, you can get some
answers to uncommon divorce related questions.
California Divorce Guide - Billed as a one stop information
supermarket for people wanting information and answers on family
law related issues.

stock quotes and finance - An easy site to look up the
current price of that stock in your client’s portfolio. Plus
historical charts, consensus analysis and more.
New Engin's Cost-of-Living Calculator- A very nice, easy to
use cost of living calculator, pegged to the CPI.
Domania.com - A very easy to use free site which allows you
to find the previous sale price of a particular house (by
address), the sales of homes on a specified street or a range of
addresses, and even a list of all homes sold within a certain
price range in a general area. Also available through the site
are mortgage calculators, and a variety of tools for analyzing
the cost of purchasing a home or other real property.
Internal
Revenue Service - Download and print out all IRS forms and
most of their publications. Need to request a copy of a client’s
old tax returns? Form 4506 (and the client’s signature) will get
it for you. Form 8332 is the Release of Claim of Exemption form
we use with most family support awards. |
